I’m a business developer / account manager with a long experience in the testing and certification industry. I have worked on developing services that have helped the introduction of LED technology like training services and developing tailor made service offerings in the area’s of CE and ENEC.

Currently I am working on further developing the cooperation with several partners and extending the reach of our approval marks in the lighting industry. In the years DEKRA has become known as “the” LED certification company. Even tough the market for certification was in decline the strategy was successful to maintain our and even grow our market position.

Bart is gefascineerd door kennis. Favoriete onderwerpen zijn hierbij geschiedenis en (licht- en elektro)techniek. Vooral deze laatste twee brengt hij graag op anderen over middels cursussen en als docent aan de opleidingen middelbare verlichtingstechniek en hogere verlichtingskunde. Als schrijver maakte hij zijn debuut in 2013 met ‘Het Boek Lumenus’. Het is een als een roman geschreven boek over (openbare) verlichting. Het is geschreven voor leken, maar de rijkelijk toegevoegde anekdotes zullen ook de ervaren verlichtingsdeskundigen zeker aanspreken. ‘Lumenus’ is nu het eerste boek van de gelijknamige reeks die zich richt op verlichting en elektrotechniek.
